How we help Dachshunds and their owners

We are the only UK charity focused on improving the health of Dachshunds.

We commission and fund research to identify the causes of health issues in the breed and to develop preventative screening programmes and DNA tests for breeders. We help breeders and owners to understand the breed's health priorities

We collect data on health conditions affecting the breed and use this to provide advice to buyers and owners so they can make the best decisions for their dog's lifestyle. We run webinars and create educational resources for breeders and owners.

Your donations directly support research and education programmes that improve the health of the breed.
