Investigating the health of dilute coloured Dachshunds

A soft toy Dachshund

Colour Dilution Alopecia (CDA) can cause dogs of dilute colours (blue, isabella etc.) to be more prone to losing their hair, allergic reaction, dermatitis and skin infection. Scientific research around the world often refers to Dachshunds as being one of the breeds that is at particular risk of CDA.

This survey aims to get a better understanding of just how high that risk is so that the information can be shared with pet buyers and breeders to help them make responsible choices. Your answers are in complete confidence but if you are willing to answer specific questions, please answer the last question. Please answer for one dog at a time. Once completed you can complete additional surveys by revisiting the link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3NGQWJ5/
